The first three workshops, which need to be taken in series order, offer the members opportunities to explore and experience their own sense of Self through creative work with symbols, imaging, inner dialogue and Gestalt; to record and draw, and to share with other group members if they wish.
Exploring the nature of consciousness, our self-image and the nature, consciousness and function of the Transpersonal Self within. Through exercises and guided imagery we encounter our sub-personalities which, with their often surprising characteristics, unconsciously but powerfully dwell and act in us all. A Gestalt exercise sheds light on how our emotions, body, mind and intuition are related and how their potential conflicts can be resolved. We look at the breakthrough experience.
The Universe rests on the equilibrium of the opposed but complementary energies of Yin and Yang, the feminine and masculine principles. The same energies operate within us. Each sex contains a fragment of the other, and in this workshop we meet, recognise and befriend our Inner Man/ Inner Woman, Jung's Animus and Anima. Cooperating with them releases fresh energies and can improve our human relationships.
In the Transpersonal worldview, life is a journey that doesn't begin at birth and doesn't end with the death of the body. Its purpose is inner development and the fulfilling of our true potential. In this workshop we explore life's cycles and phases - and their specific tasks - from birth to death. We look at possible changes of direction, and discover the power and the risks of unconsciously projecting parts of ourselves on to others.
A FURTHER WORKSHOP IN TRANSPERSONAL PSYCHOLOGY:
'INITIATION', Hazel Marshall
An initiate is ultimately one who initiates
The idea of Initiation comes from the esoteric and mystery schools. As the link between the Self and the small ego becomes stronger, a two-way traffic is set up, the field of consciousness expands and people can be in touch, at will and with awareness, with the Transpersonal Self. They may become so centred in it that many stages of their development are passed through. This weekend, originally created as Transpersonal Workshop Four, is designed to complement the Transpersonal Psychology workshops, and is suitable for those who have completed the series or who are currently taking it. However, some who have not yet started the introductory workshops may be welcome here – please enquire.

This course, based on counselling and psychotherapy but for anyone who wants the experience, may well run again from 2019. It is for everyone, not only professionals. Its aim is to help members to use transpersonal perspectives in their lives and work with sensitivity, skill and understanding. Its value lies in the actual doing of it. It is intended for those who have done, or will have done, the introductory Transpersonal workshops. The main part consists of eleven weekends over two years. It is led by Hazel Marshall, assisted from time to time by other 'transpersonal' people. Please let me know if you are interested.
'TEMPLES OF LIGHT: AN ALCHEMICAL PILGRIMAGE'
THE SPLENDOR SOLIS, Hazel Marshall
At present this course is running for the second time. A set of seven weekends at Rock Bank, it is based on the work of Marie Angelo. Invited as it were by the Splendor Solis pictures, we can explore in an imaginal way these marvellous Renaissance paintings, and our own resonance with them. The originals, dating from 1582 and among the British Library's most precious treasures, tell a magical alchemical story. These Splendor Solis weekends have been described as a pilgrimage towards a School of Wisdom in a Temple of Light. Our study thus aligns very beautifully with the pioneering work of Ian Gordon-Brown and Barbara Somers. My hope is that it will run again, not immediately but in the future. This is to prime the pump in case you might be interested. If so, please let me know.
This course, based on counselling and psychotherapy but for anyone who wants the experience, has been running again from January 2015, and may well do so in future. Its aim is to help members to use transpersonal perspectives and a range of techniques with sensitivity, skill and understanding. Its value lies in the actual doing of it. It is intended for those who have done, or will have done, the introductory Transpersonal workshops. If you are interested, please enquire.
Hazel Marshall, founder and director of the Transpersonal Centre at Rock Bank in Leicestershire, leads most of the weekends, assisted from time to time by other transpersonal people. She has been working transpersonally since 1980 as counsellor, psychotherapist and supervisor, and as group facilitator. She trained with Barbara Somers and Ian Gordon-Brown in London
PERSONAL WORK - There is the chance for individuals to work personally with me after any of the courses, exploring more deeply any issues that may have come up for them. This does not clash with any current therapy or counselling they may be in.
